ACTUAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Periodically check and perform basic maintenance services on all park equipment and machinery ensuring that they are in good condition and safe to use.
  • Collect plant species selected by the Horticulturists in collaboration with the Technical Working Group for documentation and propagation.
  • Planting and care of new trees, shrubs, and other plants and including fertilizer and pesticide application upon the instruction of the Horticulturists.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors by adhering to safety and health regulations.
  • Patrol the site and ensure visitors are following the rules and not disrupting the natural environment or other guests
  • Assist in the facilitation of onsite activities (i.e. Sambayanihan activities and site exploration) by preparing the site and ensuring the safety of the team members, participants, and/or partners, as may be delegated by the Project Head.
  • Advise project team or management on the cost of maintenance necessities with written quotations, reports, and documentation
  • Attend workshops and training for the development of skills in park maintenance, tour facilitation, and nature preservation in preparation for the following tasks:
    • Welcoming and orienting guests about the park rules and safety guidelines.
    • Work in the visitors’ center to hand out maps and point out areas of interest
      or areas that are off-limits
    • Conduct tours and educational presentations
    • Perform emergency response, such as CPR, first aid, search and rescue, and assist with stopping or containing fires.
    • Assist in the facilitation of environmental education programs for schools, non-government organizations, and other corporations.

DOT – Research Study on Conservation of Cultural Heritage Sites from Natural and Man-made Disasters

SENIOR RESEARCHER – CONSERVATOR

Scope of Work:

  • Identify at least two religious sites to be included in the research study.
  • Gather material on past interventions carried out on the subject religious sites and similar sites.
  • Identify man-made and natural threats to subjects of study.
