The Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) was created in 1972 by Presidential Decree No. 37. Its primary aim is to promote, encourage, and initiate research and development projects and activities in the social sciences, humanities, and similar fields. The NPF Research Institute (RI) has interests in Philippine natural and cultural heritage; cultural and creative industries; sustainable cultural heritage tourism and ecotourism; and tourism governance.

The NPF welcomes proposals for panels and posters for the 1st Nayong Pilipino Research Summit related to the following themes:

  1. Filipino values and leadership in natural and/or cultural heritage management and conservation

  2. Measuring outcomes and impacts of conservation initiatives

  3. Preserving and safeguarding heritage(s) for citizen wellbeing

  4. Regional issues and directions in the conservation and management of cultural/and or natural heritage

  5. Impacts of tourism on natural and/or cultural heritage protection

  6. Art and the creative industries amidst the pandemic

Digital Poster Abstract Submission and Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted using the NPF-RI template attached.

  2. The abstract must be written in English and must not exceed 150.

  3. The abstract must include: title, complete name/s of author/s, institutional affiliation/s, email of correspondent/s objectives, research methods/program framework, findings, and conclusion.

  4. Material presented or published internationally but not yet locally are welcome.

  5. All complete submissions received by the deadline will be acknowledged by email.

  6. Announcements and notifications of acceptance shall be given on June 21, 2021.

  7. There will be no registration fee for Accepted Poster Presentations.

All posters are to be submitted to the Nayong Pilipino Foundation Projects Team (projects@nayongpilipino.gov.ph) by 17:00 PST, 14 June 2021.
